Message from the Founder –
On this Mother’s Day, I want to honor all mothers for their unconditional love and unwavering support. The power of mothers to shape lives and build brighter futures is what has inspired 20 years of my life’s work empowering women through education.
Growing up in China, I did not have the opportunity to complete my education. Living in Canada and witnessing my two children grow up with many opportunities inspired me to dedicate my life to providing women with educational opportunities intially through EGRC, and now through the Ching Tien Foundation for Women. Driven by the belief that “Educated Women Have Educated Children”, these 20 years have shown me firsthand how education can transform lives and benefit future generations.
Just one week ago, I traveled to Thailand to join a group of EGRC alumni to celebrate EGRC’s 20th year anniversary. Over three unforgettable days they shared their incredible personal journeys and successes, and their connections to EGRC. It was truly powerful. I will share this experience in detail in the coming newsletter and on our social media.
On this special day, I invite you to contribute to our Ching Tien Foundation for Women Give with Impact campaign as an act to honour the incredible women in your life. This $20,000 fundraising campaign will provide funding to support our 2025 Undergraduate Leadership Program in partnership with Royal Roads University. This year we have eight passionate aspiring leaders in the program who come from different parts of Asia including Afghanistan, China, Hong Kong and India. Your support will help cover the cost of their travel and studies in Canada, and provide a transformative educational experience that equips young women with invaluable leadership skills and global perspectives.
Every one of us has the power to make a difference. Empowering passionate, aspiring women leaders is one of the most impactful investments in our shared future.
